By accessing or using Your Background Remover ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Your Background Remover is a free AI tool that removes image backgrounds. Depending on your chosen processing mode, background removal is performed either entirely on your local device or via fast cloud servers with strict zero data retention. No processed images are ever stored or retained on our servers. The Service is provided free of charge with no usage limits.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process images you do not have the rights or permission to edit.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service in ways that harm other users.
  • Use automated scripts to abuse or overload the tool beyond normal personal use.
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership and all rights to the images you process. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. The website design, code, and brand assets are the property of Your Background Remover. The underlying AI model (BiRefNet) is open-source and subject to its respective MIT license as detailed below.

5. Open Source AI Model Licensing (MIT License)

This Service uses the BiRefNet Lite neural segmentation model (derived from the BiRefNet project by Zheng Peng et al. and ported to ONNX by Studio Ludens). In accordance with the MIT License requirements, the original copyright notice, permission notice, and disclaimer are reproduced below:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Your Background Remover shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Since no user data is collected or stored, we cannot be liable for data loss related to your images.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from your use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable local law.
